7 Principles of Time Management


Time management is simple. You have a lot of activities should be done within a certain time. The challenge is to manage the implementation of these activities in such a way that can be completed with maximum quality and minimum stress.
Here are 7 principles of effective time management

1. Set goals
By setting goals, you know your direction. Without goals, you will lose direction and react to uncertain matter, with a narrow point of view, bad consequences may arise in your personal and professional life
2. Decide priorities
Once you've set goals, you need to determine priorities for action to achieve that goals. The key in determining the priority is to identify what is important from your activities appropriately and make it as priority.


To optimize of time, we need to make a priority scale of activities that we should do. After all the activities listed, categorize them based on priority scale. categorize activities into 4 parts priority scale, there are: the urgent and important activities must be priority number 1 and do it by yourself and right now, an important activity but not urge can do by others and not now, an activity that are urgent but not important have to be done now although not by yourself, and the last is an activity not important and not urgent could be postponed and done by others.
3. Focus
After determining the objectives and priorities, concentrate on one main activity one by one. Do one job, and finish it and then chose another one. This is very useful to maintain focus. Focus will make the maximum results and maximize productivity
4. Create realistic deadlines
Realistic deadlines can help you stay focused on long-term goals and short-term priorities. Be realistic in estimating the deadline. Adjust the deadlines with a job. Hard work will probably require a longer time

5. Do it Now
There is no use to delay until later, tomorrow or the next day, the good decision is just do it and do it now
6. Evaluation
Can all activities done well? If there are a lot of time wasted, there is something wrong with that. Evaluate and find the mistakes and shortcomings, and then do a revision and improvement.
7. Always active, not reactive
Make active decisions about how you spend your time rather than reactive to every cases that you meet. Decide what is important to you, and say "no" to everything that contradict
